A&E
Recipient of Clean Air Works Challenge and Project Leader Awards |
|
 |
|
|
| |
Clean Air Works!
is a project of the Regional Air Quality Board that is working
with select employers across eight counties including the
Metro-Charlotte area of North Carolina. These eight counties
currently do not meet federal clean air standards. A&E has joined
the fight to improve air quality by working with Clean Air
Works and implementing 22 voluntary programs to improve air
quality in the region. These programs include implementing carpool
matching, purchasing Energy Star electronics, using motion sensors
for lighting, and implementing an anti-idling policy for the truck
fleet.
For our efforts, A&E has received two awards: the Clean Air
Challenge Award (Large Business) and the Project Leader
Award.
