Le développement durable se définit comme « combler les besoins du présent sans compromettre la capacité des générations à venir de combler les leurs. » Le développement durable cherche à équilibrer l’économie, la responsabilité sociale et l’impact sur l’environnement — en reconnaissant que la population continuera de croître.
L’engagement de longue date d’A&E à l’égard de l’environnement, de la santé et sécurité, du développement durable et de la responsabilité sociale continue d’être la grande priorité dans toutes les installations d’A&E à travers le monde. Il est largement admis qu’accroître le respect de l’environnement dans nos installations et notre chaîne d’approvisionnement est tout simplement la bonne chose à faire et est essentiel pour répondre aux attentes de nos clients et de nos actionnaires.

Operating as a brand of Elevate Textiles, A&E’s long-standing commitment to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), sustainability, and Social Responsibility continues to be a top priority at all Elevate Textiles and A&E operations worldwide.
We take pride in being a responsible producer of quality thread solutions and services throughout the world, seeking to balance economic needs, social responsibility, and environmental impact. Below is a list of current sustainability goals we share and are working to achieve with our parent company, Elevate Textiles.
GOAL 1) BY 2025 — RESPONSIBLY SOURCED FIBERS
All products to be produced using at least 80% sustainably sourced cotton and 50% recycled polyester content.
GOAL 2) BY 2025 — REDUCED WATER CONSUMPTION
Manufacturing operations to reduce absolute water use by 25% based against 2016 levels.
GOAL 3) BY 2030 — 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY
We are investing in renewable energy with a goal to transition all facilities to 100%. This will include a mix of onsite solar projects, energy efficiency projects, and purchase of renewable energy credits.
GOAL 4) BY 2030 — REDUCED GREENHOUSE GASES
On track for a 46.2% reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions, in-line with approved Science Based Targets. Scope 3 GHG emissions include reductions from purchased goods and services, the processing of sold products, and fuel and energy.
GOAL 5) BY 2050 — NET ZERO EMISSIONS
Using developed energy and conservation efforts, we aim to be 100% Net Zero.
