A&E to be active in the 2010 AAFA International Product Safety & Restricted Substances Conference in Vietnam
Mount Holly, November 1, 2010- A&E is pleased to play an active role in the upcoming American Apparel and Footwear Association’s International Product Safety & Restricted Substances Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The conference, to be held on November 10th, will provide a forum for retailers and industry experts to discuss product safety regulations, new testing requirements, utilization of AAFA’s Restricted Substance List, retailer concerns and consequences of non compliance. The AAFA hosted conference will be held in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce, the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association (VITAS), the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and the Apparel & Footwear International RSL Management Working Group (AFIRM).
Beyond A&E sponsoring the printing of the conference proceedings, A&E Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety and Chairman of the AAFA Environmental Committee; John Eapen, will moderate a key discussion on Safety Standards and Regulations and will provide closing remarks for the conference.
