The Colorlink App is a color identification and collaboration tool, here to help you select the right thread color. Just remember that due to variations in screen types and technical limitations, colors seen in a digital app may not accurately reflect thread colors, so contact your A&E representative for physical thread color samples in order to confirm your color selection.

This highly useful thread color app has been designed specifically to support apparel industry professionals who are in the design, development, or manufacturing of apparel. Q: How many colors are built-in to the app?
A: Currently over 1000+ colors are immediately available
for use.

Q: I completed and submitted my request form, what do I need to do to have access Colorlink?
A: Once your information has been received and reviewed we will send you an email that includes your unique unlock codes to the email address you provided in your registration information. Enter the codes on the opening screen, review the color reminder and accept. You will immediately have full access to explore A&E Colorlink.

Q: How many color collections can I create in My Color?
A: You can save up to 5 colors in each My Color Collection with no limit to the number of collections you can create.

Q: I want to share my project details that include my created color collection. Does my colleague need this app to view?
A: No, your colleague would not need the app to view. A&E Colorlink makes it easy to share your project details. Make sure to refer your additional team members to request A&E Colorlink. It’s free and an important collaboration tool from the early design process to finishing the garment.

Q: When I email my project the audio voice note is saved as a .CAF file on my Apple device. What is a CAF file and what do I use to open this file format?
A: Apple devices use .CAF files or Core Audio Format files. This updated file format was designed to overcome older audio formats. You can open your audio note file using the latest QuickTime version from Apple, Inc.

A: The COLORCATCH NANO in conjunction with A&E Colorlink is a handheld device that incorporates advanced technology into the measuring of color on smooth, structured and patterned surfaces for thread color identification.

Q: How do you calibrate the COLORCATCH NANO?
A: Click on the NANO icon within the My Colors screen, plug in the NANO using the cables provided into your specific device and press the top button on the NANO for a few seconds. You will be prompted to make sure your device is closed by twisting the bottom and top of the NANO to a closed position. Hold for a few seconds and you are done.

Q: Why do I need to calibrate my COLORCATCH NANO?
A: It is important to calibrate your COLORCATCH NANO, so that it can more accurately read colors.

Q: How long does my COLORCATCH NANO run before needing to be charged?
A: 4-6 hours before needing to be charged.

Q: How do I recharge my COLORCATCH NANO?
A: Using the USB cable provided, plug your unit into a USB charger or PC.

Q: How long does it take for my COLORCATCH NANO to recharge?
A: From a completely depleted charge it will take approximately 6 hours to be fully charged again.

A: The COLORCATCH NANO was developed with a pocket-size, round, ergonomic design.

Q: What is the magnification of the COLORCATCH NANO?
A: The integrated camera and optics of the COLORCATCH NANO increase the image six-fold. This magnification assists by enhancing past what your eye can see to give you more control when selecting thread color.

Q: Does the COLORCATCH NANO need to be used for the A&E Colorlink app to work?
A: No. While the COLORCATCH NANO is optional, using the NANO is recommended for additional ease and efficiency with thread color selection. A&E Colorlink on its own is a useful tool in the thread color selection process. The COLORCATCH NANO enhances your user experience by quickly identifying thread color with the touch of a button.

Q: Can more than one mobile device with the A&E Colorlink app installed use the COLORCATCH NANO or do I need more than one unit?
A: The COLORCATCH NANO is often used communally between all members of design and color teams. Depending upon the amount of use, your team may find it advantageous to have more than one device to ensure that, when you need the NANO, it isn’t already being used by another designer or color team member.
